| Abstract |
Oxidation of tertiary amines in toluene promoted by silver (1) has been studied. Reaction products were identified by X-ray Powder Diffraction, GC-FTIR and CC-MS. A radical chain mechanism, accounting for amine, solvent and silver degradation products identified, is proposed. a contribution for the clarification of the catalytic effect of water in toluene is forwarded. |
