| Abstract |
A new octadentate ligand L was synthesized by tetra-functionalization of 1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane (L-1, cyclam) with 4-pyridylmethyl groups and its two novel cadmium polymeric metallamacrocyclic complexes, [Cd3L1.5(C6H5O7)(2)(.)6H(2)O](n) (1) and [CdCl(2)L(2)(.)2.5H(2)O](n) (2), were obtained by hydrothermal methods.
