| Abstract |
A silver complex [Ag2L](SbF6)(2)(DMF)(2) (1) and a multi-protonated complex [H4L center dot 2H(2)O](4+) center dot 4Cl(-) center dot 8H(2)O (2) of an N8O6 Cryptand L were synthesized and characterized. L in the complexes is formulated C60H78N8O6 and is the N8O6 reduced polyaza-oxa cryptand containing not only nitrogen donors but also oxygen atoms. The conformations of L in the two complexes are endo-endo with the longest distances between the two bridge-head nitrogen donors (19.597(8) for 1 and 18.347(4) angstrom for 2) in the reported polyaza or polyaza-oxa cryptands.
